Your child's future in safe hands at Cosgrove.
Our school community aims to create an ethos that is friendly and caring,
where individual effort and achievement is valued,
and where everybody is made to feel part of our team.
Welcome to Cosgrove Primary School
At Cosgrove Village Primary School, we aim to work in partnership with parents and the community to develop confident, responsible, happy, independent, creative and successful young people. We want our children to grow in confidence and develop a sense of self-discipline and self-esteem within a secure and stimulating environment; where there is respect for each other, for the school, for the local community and for the world in which we live.
We actively promote the British Values throughout our school as well as our own school values. Cosgrove Village Primary School values were chosen in consultation with the school council, governors and staff.
Children are encouraged to think for themselves and take responsibility for their work and behaviour. They are given opportunities to work collaboratively and co-operatively with others; to organise, enjoy success, learn from their mistakes and to relish challenges and risks.
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum that caters for the needs of individuals and gives equal opportunities to all children.
Obviously, parents play an essential and instrumental role in their child's education and we endeavour to involve them at all stages. We encourage parents to use our 'Open Door' policy.
Welcome to our school.

School Values
The school council, staff and governors have worked together to create a set of school values. These 6 values were chosen as we all felt they reflected the most important values a child should have knowledge of when they leave our school. Over the academic year, we focus on one each half term. This is looked at in a Monday assembly and also a quote relating to the value is added each week onto the newsletter. Children will be encouraged to display these values at school and we would welcome your support in helping your child to display them when they are not at school.
Our values are:
-
Honesty
-
Kindness
-
Friendship
-
Respect
-
Perserverance
-
Responsibility
